CKAN is a data management system that makes data accessible – by providing tools to publish, share, find and use data. CKAN is aimed at data publishers (national and regional governments, companies and organizations) wanting to make their data open and available. NextGEOSS is using this open software as the basis for the NextGEOSS data hub to catalogue Earth observation data, applications, and services.

During the webinar, our colleagues from Viderum, Paul Walsh and Jovanka Gulicoska, will introduce you to the CKAN tools and how CKAN is being used for Earth observations both in Europe and elsewhere – and how you can use it too!

A Data Hub with CKAN for Earth Observation Communities – The NextGEOSS data hub Public Release 1.0

This webinar is a unique opportunity for developers that are using Earth observations to create new knowledge, applications or services, to learn about the very latest updates on the next generation Earth observation data hub based on CKAN. We will present the NextGEOSS data hub public release 1.0

The advantage of attending in the LIVE webinar is that it is possible to ask questions directly to the experts working on the data hub who knows exactly how CKAN has been used to arrive at this tool for the Earth observation communities.
