The NextGEOSS data hub is being continuously updated with new data providers, more data set, and improved user interface. Here are some of the latest updates.
New data providers
NextGEOSS can offer data from new data providers from the European Group on Earth Observations (EuroGEO) region and also for the first time data from the Asia-Oceania Group on Earth Observations (AOGEO) region. You can also find data from two of our pilots, the Energy and Biodiversity pilots.
ICEYE builds and operates its own commercial constellation of SAR satellites, with SAR data already available to customers. The ICEYE Satellite Constellation is capable of imaging any location on Earth, day and night, regardless of cloud cover. ICEYE empowers others to make better decisions in governmental and commercial industries by providing access to timely and reliable satellite imagery. ICEYE is a partner of several New Space technology, Earth observation and GIS organisations around the world. Together and with these partnerships, ICEYE is able to deliver world-first capabilities in Earth observation.
This is a comprehensive data category portal for open and interoperable data exchange over the high mountain and cold regions, including the featured datasets from ongoing projects, like SOTP, CAS-GMELT, MARIS, Big Earth Data and international networks, such as EU-INTAROS, PEEX, and HiMAC Work Group, and NextGEOSS etc. Most of these are value added dataset, derived from space Earth Observations, which were archived in this portal or open published database online.
National Observatory of Athens
National Observatory of Athens (NOA) has been historically nominated by the Greek government as the sole institution in charge of natural disasters monitoring, with a clear mandate to conduct innovative research for the benefit of the Greek citizens. The Institute for Astronomy Astrophysics Space Applications & Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of NOA, through its systematic participation to EC and ESA-funded projects, has provided EO based support for Emergency Planning and Emergency Support, and Disaster Recovery to Environmental Monitoring, Civil Protection and Public Governmental Authorities in Greece. Within IAASARS, a Center of Excellence (www.beyond-eocenter.eu) has been established, for EO-based Monitoring of Natural Disasters. In BEYOND innovative integrated observational solutions have been setup (i) allowing to a multitude of monitoring networks (space borne and ground-based) to operate in a complementary, unified and coordinated manner, (ii) creating archives and databases of long series of observations and derived higher level products, and (iii) making these observations and products available for exploitation with the involvement of stakeholders, scientists and/or institutional users, applicable for down-streaming to their specific needs.
MINES ParisTech / ARMINES / Transvalor / SoDa
The research center “Observation, Impacts Energy” (O.I.E.) is a common laboratory (or structure) of MINES ParisTech and ARMINES. ARMINES, a structure created in 1967, is based on the concept of research-orientated towards the industry. The scientific objectives of the Centre O.I.E. are to assess and analyse spatial and temporal aspects of renewable energies resources and the environmental impacts of energy systems. The Centre O.I.E. develops research activities in the domains of renewable resources evaluation (solar, wind, …), of meteorology for energy, of environmental impacts of energy uses, of interoperability and diffusion of information through data bases and Web services. Since Apr. 2009, TRANSVALOR S.A., a French SME founded in 1984, is in charge of the commercialization and exploitation of SoDa, and participates to innovative research projects.

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO): 2021 is the start of the International Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. FAO makes more marine services available on the NextGEOSS data hub.
