As one of the pilars of several SDG’s, ensuring a continuous and sustainable food production plays an important role in our society. Satellite images have a big impact on making decisions with regards to crop development and management.
In this webinar we will explain how the NextGEOSS services can be used to enhance the processing of large amounts of data and supporting users in making relevant decisions. We will do this by explaining how we tackled an Earth observation related problem with the NextGEOSS services.
Wednesday 27th February at 14:00 CET
What: Getting the right crop information is crucial in sustaining a continuous food production. Access to this information on a large scale and real-time basis is challenging and often requires specialist expertise.
Within NextGEOSS we exploit satellite imagery to extract this crucial information and combine this into advise for farmers, industries, governments, and others.
Why now: Sustaining food production is an ever existing problem. However, thanks to recent innovations in satellite imagery and IT infrastructure, we are now able to extract relevant, detailed information on a large scale
Who is it for: Anyone with an interest in Earth Observation and/or information technology.
